#CEODairy Breaking Mental Blocks

Having goals and making plans is the easy part. Having the mindset needed to put in the work to achieve those goals is the hard part.

I’ve become a shell of myself. I used to be the student who took pride in making As and always striving to be the best in the class. At some point while working in Corporate America and adulting on my own, I started to think I wasn’t worthy. I settled and accepted things for what they were instead of knowing and demanding my worth. I lost that fire I once had.

I made a conscience decision to figure out what my purpose is in the beginning of 2018. Since then, I’ve been trying new things, meditating more, and set up my company. This year I made a conscience decision to meet new people and now I see someone I know almost every time I go out. I ran into 4 different people I met months prior just last night at a party. I also exchanged information with my first potential client. God is giving me exactly what I’ve asked for and put my focus towards. But am I ready? I have to figure out how to get past my mental blocks in order to reach my life goals.

I’m focusing on 3 things only: my health, my career, and creativity. I’ve lost 13 pounds this year so far; I just reached out to a black, female therapist who specializes in helping black, female business professionals reach their highest potential by working through past traumas; I also emailed a black, female business owner who works in the finance field in hopes of gaining a mentor; I found a FP&A certification prep course; AND I have an announcement… I’m starting a podcast! I’ve been spending this month getting equipment and teaching myself how to edit. I hope to launch sometime next month!

I’m excited to see what my life will be like once I break past mental blocks and perform at the level I know I can perform. How did you break through your mental blocks? What’s holding you back from being the best you can be? Let me know in the comments below.
