What a week this has been for me. It’s been raining in Los Angeles (crazy, right?) and I haven’t been feeling well. I haven’t even told my mom this, but I’ve been feeling faint sometimes. I felt like I was going to pass out twice this week. Once at work and once while operating one of the cameras at Thursday night service at church. I had to step away from the camera while service was still going on to get fresh air and water. I’ve never fainted in my life so feeling like that is new for me. Therefore, I’ve been catching up on rest and analyzing my diet. I have not been drinking enough water nor have I been sleeping enough. Some days I’d sleep maybe 4 hours, wake up at 4:30am, workout and be drenched in sweat, then only drink about 50oz of water that day. Not good.
Self-care is extremely important. We can’t do anything if we don’t take care of ourselves. Grinding, hustling, sacrificing, etc is all good until your body tells you it’s not. You need sleep. You need water. You need a healthy balance of work and play. I’m figuring out what my healthy balance is on a daily basis.
